Lighting
The weight indicated is that of the
headlamp with its energy source
(regular or rechargeable batteries).
The energy stored by the ref lector
surrounding an LED is released in the
form of a phosphorescent glow. This
glow allows a headlamp that is turned
off to be found, even in the dark.
LOCK function to avoid accidentally
turning it on during transit or storage.
Petzl headlamps that work with
rechargeable batteries.
The IP rating on a headlamp indicates
the degree to which it is waterproof
and dustproof.
Petzl headlamps that work with regular
batteries (included).
Red, green, and blue lighting allows
the user to better see contrasts within
the lit object in certain situations
(useful when reading a map, hunting,
or f ishing).
Red and/or white strobe lighting allows
you to signal and be more easily
located, for example in an emergency.
Ref lective components for night
visibility.
Rear red lighting on the rechargeable
battery to signal your presence.
Wide beam designed for proximity
lighting, to see up close or around
your feet. The wide angle provides
a very large and comfortable f ield of
view.
Mixed beam consists of a wide beam
and a focused component, allowing
both proximity lighting and longer-
range vision for moving around.
Red lighting for more comfortable
night vision. This lighting allows good
vision without blinding the user or
members of a group.
Focused beam allows focused lighting
on a target in order to see objects or
people at a distance.
Brightness is the total quantity of light
emitted by a lamp. It is expressed in
lumens. The greater the quantity of
light, the better you see. The value
indicated is that of the most powerful
lighting level.
Lighting distance is linked to
brightness and beam shape. It is
expressed in meters and indicates
the range of usable lighting. The value
indicated is the maximum value.
Reserve lighting provides a minimum
light level for walking. However, the
light may not be suff icient for fast-
paced activities (such as running,
mountain biking, or skiing).
Burn time expresses the length of
time a headlamp functions with power
suff icient for carrying out an activity.
It is expressed in hours. The value
indicated is the maximum value.

The HYBRID CONCEPT design allows Petzl’s compact
headlamps to run on either the CORE rechargeable
battery or three AAA/LR03 batteries without an adapter
• The CORE rechargeable battery is a long-lasting, economical
solution for frequent and/or intensive use
• AAA/LR03 batteries offer a very long burn time and are ideal for
occasional use
• IKO CORE, IKO, ACTIK CORE, ACTIK, ARIA 2R RGB, ARIA 1R RGB,
TIKKA CORE, TIKKA, TIKKINA and TIKKID headlamps are built
with the HYBRID CONCEPT design
This exclusive technology developed by Petzl instantly
provides the right lighting at the right time
Featuring a light sensor and an accelerometer, the lamp is able to
automatically adapt the lighting level. Burn time is optimized so you can
remain focused on the activity. REACTIVE LIGHTING technology offers:
• Visual comfort with less manual operation
• Longer burn time and optimized energy consumption help limit
environmental impact
DUO RL, NAO RL, SWIFT RL and SWIFT RL CLASSIC headlamps
include this technology.
Reduced environmental impact
The entire lifespan of a CORE rechargeable battery is equivalent to that
of 900 standard batteries.
The Brightness You Need, Guaranteed
The minimum brightness level varies according to the intensity
of the activity.
