Bivouac et Moi is an organization that

offers mountain adventures to people

undergoing cancer treatment.

Our Focus

The Healing Power of Nature

According to numerous scientif ic studies, physical

activity and connection with nature have benef icial

therapeutic effects. We support organizations that

provide mountain excursions for people living with or

recovering from cancer. The goal is for these people

to feel re-energized with self-conf idence and well-

being, which are often affected during long periods

of treatment.

These programs account for 30% of our total

support for organizations (approximately €130,000

per year).

The Petzl Foundation helps those in marginalized

communities who are in the process of social

reintegration or affected by illness to explore

mountains and the vertical world.

While organizations may not be able to reverse

policies that are unfavorable to the most vulnerable,

through mountain recreation they can attempt

to bring comfort and a new start to people

excluded from school, work, or society. The Petzl

Foundation supports organizations in France and

across the globe that facilitate access to mountain

recreation, help young people from working-class

neighborhoods integrate into the professional world,

and welcome refugees.

Exploring New Horizons

The Petzl Foundation’s mission is to support and initiate public interest projects through its activities

in mountainous and vertical domains; projects that help bring balance to humankind’s place in its

natural, cultural, and economic environments. The foundation supports non-prof it organizations

through f inancial and equipment grants, as well as consultation and training.
