To address various situations encountered in the field, Petzl offers several types of connectors,

primarily used for setting up anchors and for

Without Keylock

With Keylock

Visual locking indicator

To facilitate equipment checks, SCREW-LOCK manual locking

carabiners have a red band that is visible only when the carabiner

is not locked.

Keylock System: helps prevent snagging

To provide optimal efficiency, all Petzl carabiners use the Keylock system:

the nose of the carabiner, where the body and gate meet, does not

have a notch that could snag on anchors, ropes, harness equipment

loops, or other gear.
