Optimal blocking
Petzl frame-loaded rope clamps are designed to function optimally
under many different conditions (wet, frozen, dirty ropes, for example).
They are therefore equipped with a special stainless steel cam.
Its unique design, the shape of its teeth, and its self-cleaning slot allow
optimal grip on the rope without damaging it, while reducing the effort
required to slide the device up the rope.
