Simple but meaningful
initiatives
The 2024 event saw an increase in participation rates, with
workshops fully booked as soon as they were announced.
Aurélie attributes this success to an inclusive organisational
approach and a programme that adapts to teams’ practical
needs: “The workshops are designed to take place during
breaks or directly in the workplace.”
Raising awareness for better action
The Climate Frescoes, implemented by the CSR department
via volunteer employees trained in house, were a central feature
of the event. These interactive training courses, which are
compulsory for all employees, provide a better understanding
of the impact of climate change. “We felt it was important that
everyone should have the opportunity to take part in these
frescoes, and the CSR team focused and mobilised ef forts to
ensure that the workshops were of fered during working time for
all employees,” says Aurélie. At the company’s head of f ice, 70%
of the workforce has already been trained.
Workshops on sustainable mobility, biodiversity, waste reduction
and sustainable nutrition have been set up, alongside activities
such as game and toy swaps, charity food and IT equipment
collections, events and conferences, with the aim of proposing
concrete solutions for taking action, both at work and at home.
Planting seeds
At Petzl the EWSSD embodies an approach which allows every
employee to get involved in meaningful actions Every action
counts What we are building together goes far beyond the
scope of these two weeks We are sowing little seeds Some
germinate quickly others take longer but they always end up
having an impact concludes Aurélie Gascon
