The Petzl Foundation supports projects run by non-prof it
organisations in the mountains and vertical world. These
projects are linked to outdoor leisure activities such as climbing
and mountaineering, or professional sectors like work at
height, pruning and rescue.
Projects must relate to one of the Petzl Founda-
tion’s three areas of action:
— Accident prevention and risk management education,
— Protection of ecosystems that are dif f icult to access and the
ecological transition of mountain regions
Discovery of the mountains and the vertical world
How are projects selected
Projects are shortlisted by the foundation team and presented
to the trustees who decide on the funding for the projects
submitted throughout the year
