The mountains are on the front line

of climate change. The average

temperature in the Alps has climbed

2.3° C since 1850. Consequences

are already visible: snow cover,

water resources and natural

disasters. The Petzl Foundation

supports organizations that

experiment with or encourage

lifestyles that are compatible

with our planetary limits.

In 2023, the Petzl Foundation and

Snowleader proposed their second call

for public projects to encourage ecological

transition in mountainous areas. Our

objective is support organizations and

community groups who are taking action

for a better tomorrow.

2022 CALL FOR PROJECTS:

WINNERS

Eight organizations were chosen, totaling

€50,000 in support. Their projects were

aimed at reducing carbon emissions,

regenerating biodiversity, and encouraging

climate change education.
