Strengths identified by the survey: usefulness of work, pride in belonging, interest in work, tolerance and open-mindedness, work environment.

Areas of improvement identified by the survey: managing change, employee burnout, stress, inter-departmental collaboration, career pathways and pay.

To determine the impact of these measures on employee satisfaction, a new survey will be distributed to Petzl employees internationally, at the end of 2023, and in France in the beginning of 2024. This will allow us to create a new action plan.

SOLUTIONS

In the second phase, prioritizing these issues led us to identify three key areas to focus on, each of which has been broken down into an action plan.

1 - Increase resources and redistribute workload: - Identify problems through more frequent follow-up within teams and cross-departmentally - Halt certain projects - Create new roles - Establish an open dialogue between managers and employees to evaluate daily workload, as well as emotional and physical health

2 - Support employees experiencing burnout: - Provide a support line for employees - Offer personal development trainings

3 - Improve support during periods of change: - Offer manager training on this topic

Project SatisfAction involves all departments and divisions. For example, implementing a biannual seminar to encourage interdepartmental collaboration, sharing significant accomplishments during team meetings to recognize each person s work, or simply reorganizing certain work spaces.

52% of managers concerned have already completed the required action(s) and 32% are working on implementation.
