This 4-day training covers skills necessary to work in the current environment. It helps the student develop their ability to take a step back and become aware of their limiting factors, and develop the resources to reach their potential in the long term.
New sessions are already planned for 2023, to continue supporting Petzl teams.
MEASURES
The objective is to act at three different levels: prevent, detect, offer support/ training.
Internal communication is a key aspect of satisfaction at work. Communication allows us to engage our teams and brings meaning to one s work by providing context. It is also the main way to help prevent psycho-social risk.
For example, we regularly communicated about workplace burnout via our social media network.
The support line, made available to employees at the end of 2021, has become equally useful in prevention and support in times of stress or burnout; the line receives 3 to 4 calls per month.
Lastly, over the course of 3 sessions, 20 people have participated in the personal development training, Operate in a Changing Environment .
Support Employees Experiencing Burnout
A pilot project will soon be deployed within five teams. The format of weekly meetings between managers and their employees will shift. Each week, the employee can express how they feel about two topics: their mental load (the number and complexity of projects to manage) and their health (emotional and physical).
The manager can then listen, prioritize, and review these topics over time if necessary.
This project, developed in 2022, will be tested at the beginning of 2023, with broader deployment if results are compelling.
MEASURES
In 2022, we continued to work on the measures that were taken the previous year.
Globally, 153 people were hired for permanent positions: 55 in Malaysia and 85 in France (including 67 new roles, versus 45 in 2021).
To better understand and project optimal workload, more frequent check-ins were established at two levels: internal team check-ins with managers, and cross- departmental check-ins, based on projects.
