From the moment it was created , the Petzl Foundation

committed itself to projects aimed at protecting and pre -

serving nature in the mountains on cliffs and in under

ground environments From 2020 onwards we expanded

the scope of our support to include all projects contributing

to the ecological transition in mountain regions The call

for proposals we have been running with the Snowleader

Foundation since 2022 has already recognised 30 initia

tives that are inventing and testing ways of living more com

patible with planetary boundaries

We also provide long term support to committed associa

tions such as Mountain Wilderness La Grave Autrement

and Itinévert on the Camptocamp which advocate for a

mountain to be lived in rather than sold
