A supplier and partner of Petzl since 2001 , Techni
Sangles is a family - owned company specialising in
the weaving of technical webbing . It was taken over
in 2003 by Dolores Relave Puig , with the strong in
-
tention of preserving local industrial know - how .
“ Over the years , our collaboration with Petzl has
been structured around high standards in terms
of quality , innovation and performance . This
partnership contributed to our obtaining ISO 9001
and ISO 14001 certif ication and to the implemen
-
tation of concrete actions : systematic sorting of
production waste , recycling of plastic bobbins and
cardboard , and the reuse of packaging .
Petzl ’ s support also made it easier for us to carry
out our f irst carbon footprint assessment thanks
to their simplif ied in house tool which they made
available to us It showed that the bulk of our emis
sions came from raw materials We then launched
a project to develop webbing made from recycled
f ibres For nearly 18 months we worked jointly to
identify sources of recycled polyester made from
plastic bottles verify the traceability of the supply
chains and guarantee the quality of the materials
