coordinate solutions . This collective work makes it
possible to take a step back and move forward in
a coordinated way . Pragmatic by nature , the team
also draws on the experience gained through ISO
9001 certif ication , f irst obtained in 1995 .
Very quickly , the process began to reveal areas for
improvement , particularly in the management of
regulatory requirements . For example , Manon de
Gaulejac , who is in charge of waste management ,
strengthened her monitoring and reporting system .
“ For Petzl , moving towards ISO 14001 : 2015 cer

tif ication meant giving ourselves the means to be
more creative in our search for solutions , more
consistent , and more ambitious over the long term , ”

Bringing stakeholders
on board
Requests linked to environmental frameworks are
multiplying At the beginning of the 2020s the CSR
team received only a handful each year Today it
handles more than forty annually Most of them
concern three frameworks that have become es
sential ISO 14001 EcoVadis and SBTi all of which
are regularly required in calls for tender in the pro
fessional sector
In this context ISO 14001 2015 certif ication plays
a key role as it strengthens our credibility with our
partners More broadly the momentum already un
derway is beginning to deliver its f irst results
We want to go even further , by connecting our diffe
-
rent initiatives so as to give them greater meaning
and respond to stakeholders ’ growing expecta -
tions . ISO 14001 : 2015 certif ication therefore marks
an important milestone for Petzl . Above all , it opens
up a path that is built for the long term : continuing
to structure our approach and move forward col
-
lectively .
