A climbing club for refugees
in the United Kingdom
Refugees Rock is a British climbing club for people f leeing
war persecution and exploitation in their home countries
Thanks to a network of climbing gyms across Great Bri
tain the organisation offers free monthly sessions providing
refugees and asylum seekers with a safe space in which
to integrate into a new country Climbing makes it possible
to share experiences whatever the language background
age or ability Today ten groups are active across the United
Kingdom The Petzl Foundation has helped expand these
sessions nationwide

The wildlife rescue centre Le Tétras Libre takes in in -
jured or distressed wild animals — birds and mam -
mals ( except wolves and lynx ) — in order to treat
them , rehabilitate them and release them back into
their natural environment in the mountain areas of Sa -
voie and Haute - Savoie . In 2025 , the care centre res -
cued 1 , 872 animals , more than 70 % of which were
affected by human activity . The association also runs
awareness campaigns on f irst - aid gestures to take
when an injured animal is found .

Alliance of Utah ( HEAL ) has worked to protect the
state ’ s residents from air pollution and advocates for
clean air , a fair and sustainable energy transition , cli -
mate resilience , and protection from exposure to toxic
substances . Through citizen mobilisation , advocacy
and action campaigns , HEAL works for stronger air
quality policies and fair climate solutions .
