“ A real breath of fresh air ”
Stéphanie connected with others in order to carry
the issue forward collectively : the CSE , HR and CSR
teams . Little by little , initiatives began to emerge .
One of the f irst concerned welcoming people with
intellectual disabilities into the logistics department
at the Crolles site . The project was launched with
Dominique Carrasco , Director of the Crolles pro
-
duction site , and the Human Resources Depart -
ment . In 2024 , Petzl signed a partnership with the
nearby ESAT in Lumbin ( Établissement et Service
d ’ Accompagnement par le Travail , a support and
work service offering adapted employment to
people with disabilities ) . Since then , between two
and four people have been coming to work with us
for half a day each week .
“ We had to bring the teams on board ; it was not
easy , because difference can be frightening . But
things evolved very quickly . Some people who were
hesitant at f irst are now very close to the people we
welcome . ”
In 2025 , a young ESAT
operator also completed a
two - week placement on a
spare parts production line .
The experience was a suc
-
cess . She needed a slightly
clearer framework , but she
worked like everyone else
And above all she brought
a great deal of humour and
joy to everyday life A real
breath of fresh air as some
put it
At the same time the disability committee has been
multiplying awareness raising initiatives wheelchair

Giving everyone the means
to f ind their place
In 2023 , Stéphanie volunteered to become the
company ’ s disability off icer , a role that is manda -
tory in companies with more than 200 employees .
“ My son has an intellectual disability , and we have
been supporting him since early childhood on a life
journey that is still sometimes complicated . As a
mother , you want to move mountains to make life
easier for those living with a disability . ”
So naturally , Stéphanie also
wanted to drive change around
her , starting with her own com
-
pany .
“ Above all , we need to remove
the drama from it . Disability still
frightens people or makes them
uncomfortable But when you
spend time with people living
with a disability whether physi
cal or intellectual you realise it
is anything but that You meet
strong people happy to be alive
capable of f inding their place in society like all of us
as long as they are given the means to do so And
that is precisely what drives me how do we give
them the means to f ind their place
“ You meet strong
people , happy
to be alive , capable
of f inding their place
in society
