Car - free access to the mountains

with Itinévert

For the past three years , the community platform Camptocamp

has been developing a search engine to encourage mountain ac -

tivities without relying on a private car . The Itinévert portal is avai -

lable through a dedicated page where users can search for routes

accessible by public transport within a mountain range or within a

chosen radius from home . This feature is also available on all route

descriptions whose starting point can be reached by bus , coach

or train , making it easier to plan a trip without a car .

for a total of € 274 , 000 . Through this initiative , the two

foundations aim to encourage evolving practices and

inspire new ways of thinking about and living in the

mountains . See you in 2026 for the f ifth edition .

Created in 2015 and recognised as serving the public interest , the

association Sylv ’ ACCTES promotes and supports sustainable fo -

rest management that reconciles ecological social and economic

challenges It supports both public and private forest owners in

adopting responsible forestry practices that integrate biodiversity

climate landscapes and the forest s wider environmental services

beyond timber production alone Since its creation more than

7 800 hectares of forest have benef ited from support including

forestry work designed to help forests adapt to climate change

Sylv ACCTES work helps in particular to avoid clear cutting

which is damaging to landscapes and devastating for biodiversity

Since 2022 the Petzl Foundation has contributed 65 000 to

sustainable forestry work helping to strengthen the resilience of

Alpine forests
